At Monster Jam events, Monster Jam trucks will face off in four different events – Monster Jam Wheelie, Racing, Donut and the coveted Freestyle competitions. The Wheelie competition will challenge drivers to entertain fans by doing the highest sky wheelie possible. Racing is traditional bracket racing, where the first Monster Jam truck to cross the finish line with the least number of penalties is the winner. Who can spin the fastest and tightest in the Donut competition? Last but not least, the Monster Jam Freestyle competition allows the drivers time on an open floor to show off their skills as they manoeuvre the huge machines in a jaw-dropping display of punishing stunts and amazing tricks.

Grace Digger

Grave Digger®

Drivers: Dennis Anderson, Randy Brown, Charlie Pauken, Chad Tingler, Gary Porter, Carl Van Horn, Pablo Huffaker and Jon Zimmer
Engine: 540 CI Merlin
Transmission: Coan 2-Speed
Horsepower: 1,500
Tyres: 66" Terra

Dennis Anderson came up with the concept for Grave Digger back in 1981. Originally built out of an old 1957 Chevy Panel Wagon and parts that he scrounged from junkyards, Grave Digger has grown by leaps and bounds. No longer do the trademark red headlights come off of old school buses, and the paint job has changed from a dull orange to the famous green and black flame motif we see today. Grave Digger is one of the most decorated Monster Jam® trucks in the world and Anderson has won four Monster Jam World FinalsSM championships, capturing the Racing title in 2004 and 2006 and the Freestyle title in 2010 and 2000.

Max-D

Max-DSM

Drivers: Tom Meents, Neil Elliott and Morgan Kane
Engine: 540 CI Merlin
Transmission: Coan 2-Speed
Horsepower: 1,500
Tyres: 66" Terra

Perhaps the most striking Monster Jam® truck on the Monster Jam circuit, the body of Max-D is officially classified as a 'futuristic SUV'. Featuring an orange and silver paint job, coupled with a low-to-the-ground, aerodynamic body style, it's well known that Max-D is possibly the fastest machine in the sport. In fact, driver Tom Meents has been crowned Monster Jam World FinalsSM Racing champion no less than six times, the most recent coming at the 2012 Monster Jam World Finals. But Meents isn't just the master of speed; he's quite the daredevil as well, claiming five Monster Jam World Finals Freestyle championships over his career. In fact, Tom is the only driver ever to win both titles in the same year, and he even managed to do that twice in a row! The Max-D fan base has grown so much in recent years that three Max-D Monster Jam trucks are now also touring.

Max-D received a makeover for the 2013 season to help celebrate a decade of destruction and Meents' 10 years with the sport with two all-new designs.

El Toro Loco

El Toro Loco®

Drivers: Becky McDonough (Yellow), Lupe Soza (Orange), Dan Rodoni (Orange), Chuck Werner (Orange), Aaron Basl and Marc McDonald (Black)
Engine: 540 CI Merlin
Transmission: Coan 2-Speed
Horsepower: 1,500
Tyres: 66" Terra

El Toro Loco is one raging bull who can smell the fear of its competitors. In 2001, the custom-built bull was introduced to a crowd in Lafayette, Louisiana and a few years later, shared the Freestyle championship title at the 2004 Monster Jam® World FinalsSM. The El Toro Loco team expanded in 2012 to a four-truck team, adding additional drivers to tame this five-ton beast, including Becky McDonough, Aaron Basl, Chuck Werner, and Marc McDonald. One of the most recognisable Monster Jam trucks in the sport, the crazy bull can be counted on to give its all in the ring. In 2013, El Toro Loco debuted two new looks: a yellow and black El Toro Loco truck joined the ever-popular existing orange Monster Jam truck. These two new El Toro Loco Monster Jam trucks will still be fan favourites and will continue to have the same 'raging style' that makes the crazy bull so popular.

Monster Mutt® Dalmatian

Drivers: Candice Jolly and Cynthia Gauthier
Engine: 540 CI Merlin
Transmission: Coan 2-Speed
Horsepower: 1,500
Tyres: 66" Terra

Imagine if your family dog suddenly sprouted six-foot tyres instead of legs and grew to almost twelve feet tall; now you have a pretty good picture of Monster Mutt. There are actually three versions of the canine of carnage: the original brown Monster Mutt, Monster Mutt® Dalmatian, and Monster Mutt® Rottweiler. All three Monster Jam® trucks share similar body styles, and both have massive floppy ears, tongues, and even tails! Monster Mutt® Dalmatian is driven by Candice Jolly and Taryn Laskey, two of the outstanding female drivers competing in Monster Jam. Monster Mutt® Dalmatian is a huge fan favourite and can be seen at the Monster Jam World FinalsSM!

Monster Energy

Monster Energy

Drivers: Damon Bradshaw and Coty Saucier
Engine: 540 CI Merlin
Transmission: Coan 2-Speed
Horsepower: 1,500
Tyres: 66" Terra

Monster Energy entered the Monster Jam® world in 2012 as a major team sponsor debuting in Birmingham, Alabama. The machine made a big splash right from the start as 2009 Monster Jam World FinalsSM Freestyle champion Damon Bradshaw was chosen to drive the awesome new piece, with Bradshaw's long-time crew chief, Coty Saucier, joining the Monster Energy team at the same time.

Monster Energy is always a contender to win in both Racing and Freestyle, as evidenced by the team's impressive performance at Monster Jam World Finals XIII, in Las Vegas. In that 2012 battle for world titles, Monster Energy, in its first year of competition, advanced all the way through the Racing bracket and into the championship race, falling to Max-DSM in the title race by .02 of a second, one of the closest Monster Jam World Finals championship races in the sport's history.

Son-uva Digger

Son-uva Digger®

Driver: Ryan Anderson
Engine: 540 CI Merlin
Transmission: Coan 2-Speed
Horsepower: 1,500
Tyres: 66" Terra

Son-uva Digger was unveiled to much fanfare at the 2011 Monster Jam® World FinalsSM as the next generation of the Grave Digger® family! As Ryan Anderson roared into Monster Jam and won Rookie of the Year honors driving Monster Mutt®, the plan was already in the works for Ryan to get behind the wheel of a Monster Jam truck built to extend the Grave Digger legacy and Son-uva Digger became reality with its attention-grabbing purple murals adorning the 1950s Willys body style. Since its debut, Son-uva Digger has made its mark with a series of high-profile wins, especially in Freestyle competitions at the largest stadiums and arenas.

Scooby Doo

Scooby-DooTM

Driver: Nicole Johnson, Bailey Shea, Briana Mahon and Linsey Read
Engine: 540 CI Merlin
Transmission: Coan 2-Speed
Horsepower: 1,500
Tyres: 66" Terra

The newest Warner Bros. Monster Jam® truck to compete in Monster Jam brings the world-famous mystery-solving canine, Scooby-Doo into the sport, first debuting in 2013. Scooby-Doo, which has been specially designed to resemble the beloved Great Dane, joined the Warner Bros. fan-favourite Monster Jam trucks Man of Steel and BatmanTM with the stated goal of 'taking on the big dogs in the sport' and claiming the title of Top Dog! One of the fastest rising superstars, Nicole Johnson, was selected as the first driver to get behind the wheel of Scooby-Doo in Monster Jam events. In 2016 there will be four Scooby-Doo Monster Jam trucks with Bailey Shea, Brianna Mahon and Linsey Read looking to keep up with the boys.

Zombie

ZombieTM

Driver: Sean Duhon, Bari Musawwir and Tyler Groth
Engine: 540 CI Merlin
Transmission: Coan 2-Speed
Horsepower: 1,500
Tyres: 66" Terra

Once again Monster Jam® listens to the fans like no other sport and moves into the future with the creation of the Zombie Monster Jam truck. Zombie was picked to 'come back from the afterworld' and into reality in Monster Jam. Several names and designs for potential new Monster Jam trucks were unveiled online at MonsterJam.com with fans offered the opportunity to vote on the one they most wanted to see created. The winner of the fans' vote: Zombie! So the ultimate fans' input into the future of the sport became reality with a Monster Jam truck theme completely selected by the sport's incredible fans. Zombie debuted in 2013 with experienced driver Sean Duhon, who previously had success in several other Monster Jam trucks including the popular Man of Steel. Bari Musawwir and Tyler Groth will be representing the Zombie team on the East and West Coast More Monster Jam tours in 2016.

Metal Mulisha

Metal Mulisha

Driver: Brian Deegan and Todd LeDuc
Engine: 540 CI Merlin
Transmission: Coan 2-Speed
Horsepower: 1,500
Tyres: 66" Terra

Fifteen-time X-Games medalist Brian Deegan, having already developed a huge following through his success in freestyle motocross, rally car and other motor sports, brought the famous Metal Mulisha brand into Monster Jam® with the debut of the Metal Mulisha Monster Jam truck at the start of the 2012 season. "The General," Deegan himself, has thrilled crowds racing and freestyling the Monster Jam truck. When Deegan is not behind the wheel, former off-road star and rising Monster Jam driver Todd LeDuc drives Metal Mulisha. Deegan debuted as a driver at Monster Jam in Phoenix in January of 2012. Now, at many events where Metal Mulisha is in competition, the team's large fan base actually can purchase tickets to the "Metal Mulisha Compound," a seating section available at select stadiums and arenas where the Metal Mulisha Monster Jam truck is set to rock the house!

Captains Curse

Captain's Curse®

Driver: Alex Blackwell
Engine: 540 CI Merlin
Transmission: Coan 2-Speed
Horsepower: 1,500
Tyres: 66" Terra

In 2007, a Monster Jam® truck traveled across the seven seas, and docked in Las Vegas to make its debut at the Monster Jam World FinalsSM. The lucky mate behind the wheel of Captain's Curse was Alex Blackwell. Blackwell has always been involved in some aspect of motor sports. It wasn't until 2005 that he actually started competing in Monster Jam. Then in 2007, when he took over driving privileges for Captain's Curse, he made the Monster Jam truck a star. Not only was Captain's Curse brand new at Monster Jam World Finals, but it also was crowned the 2007 Monster Jam World Finals Freestyle champion – in its debut appearance!

Madusa

Madusa®

Driver: Madusa
Engine: 540 CI Merlin
Transmission: Coan 2-Speed
Horsepower: 1,500
Tyres: 66" Terra

One of the first and only Monster Jam® trucks to be named after its driver, Madusa is once again taking the Monster Jam circuit by storm. In 1999, Madusa (real name Debra Miceli), a multi-world champion in WCW and WWF, decided to add Monster Jam to her long list of achievements. Madusa quickly became one of the most anticipated Monster Jam trucks to watch, as she was one of the only female drivers at the time. She rose to the top by winning her first Monster Jam World FinalsSM event as Freestyle co-champion in 2004. The following year, she took it all, being named the Monster Jam World Finals Racing champion. Be sure to keep an eye on Madusa, as we expect nothing but great things to come from her and her truck in the future!

Dennis Anderson
Driver name:
Dennis Anderson
Owner of:
Grave Digger®
Residence:
Poplar Branch, North Carolina
Place of birth:
Norfolk, Virginia
Years competing:
35

Four-time Monster Jam® World FinalsSM champion, Dennis Anderson created the legend of Grave Digger® back in 1982, and to this day Grave Digger is the world's best-known Monster Jam truck. Anderson created Grave Digger in an old garage in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina, where he originally pieced the machine together from old parts of discarded vehicles. The original mud-bogging truck was supported by the corroded chassis of a 1952 Ford pickup and ran on the innards of a high-performance Chevy engine. Although his competitors had the advantage of high-tech equipment, Anderson boasted, "I'll take this old junk and dig you a grave." With these words the legend of Grave Digger was born. Anderson's high-speed racing, insane freestyle and awe-inspiring crashes guarantee to keep his millions of fans on the edge of their seats at every event. Appropriately, he claimed the sport's first-ever Monster Jam World Finals Freestyle championship in 2000, and later claimed the Monster Jam World Finals Racing championships in 2004, 2006 and 2010. Going on three decades of thrilling the sport's largest fan base, Anderson is not slowing down.

Tom Meents
Driver name:
Tom Meents
Owner of:
Max-DSM
Residence:
Paxton, IL
Place of birth:
Paxton, IL
Years competing:
23

The most successful competitor of the Monster Jam World FinalsSM era, Tom Meents is the sport's only 11-time World Finals champion. As further evidence of his dominance at Monster Jam World Finals, Meents' six Racing championships and five Freestyle championships are tops in both of those categories as well. Rarely does a Monster Jam truck driver dominate Monster Jam in the manner that Tom Meents has since his entry into the sport some years ago. First making his name behind the wheel of Monster Patrol when his career began in 1993, Meents continued his success in the late 1990s driving Bulldozer®, then obliterated the tracks and his competition over the course of the 2000, 2001 and 2002 Monster Jam seasons in the Goldberg and Team Meents Monster Jam trucks. Week after week he managed to stun crowds while drawing them in with his extraordinary driving abilities and wild freestyle antics. In January of 2003, Meents debuted a new Monster Jam truck, Max-DSM. Still the same body style, Max-D came with an awesome new paint job and Meents still brought the wicked fast races and high-flying freestyles that largely earned him his expected high scores at various Monster Jam events.

Marc McDonald
Driver name:
Marc McDonald
Owner of:
El Toro Loco®
Place of birth:
Claremare, OK
Years competing:
10

Though he has only competed in Monster Jam® since 2006, Marc McDonald moved into the sport's elite almost instantly. McDonald has had some of his best performances on the sport's biggest stages, including several impressive race nights and freestyle runs at Monster Jam World FinalsSM. Growing up on his family ranch in Oklahoma with a passion for trucks and motorsports, he used to race motocross and quads. McDonald's knowledge gained from working with equipment earned him a job working on Monster Jam trucks for a year. He was then able to break into the driving side of the game when he got behind the wheel of the Safe Auto Minimizer. McDonald made an instant impact battling against some of the best in the business. In 2010, he took over one of the sport's highest profile rides, the ultra-popular El Toro Loco®.

Cynthia Gauthier
Driver name:
Cynthia Gauthier
Owner of:
Monster Mutt® Dalmatian
Residence:
Canfield, Ohio
Place of birth:
Mirabel, Quebec, Canada
Years competing:
2

Growing up, Monster Mutt® Dalmatian driver Cynthia Gauthier's father was a mechanic, so naturally she spent many hours in the garage with him learning about all things mechanical. This gave Gauthier a passion for anything and everything with an engine. Competing in motocross when she was younger eventually brought her to compete in the Canadian pro women's circuit. Gauthier also raced off-road buggies for a few years before joining Monster Jam® in 2015.

Gauthier will have a change of pace in 2016 as she joins the East Coast More Monster Jam tour.

Brianna Mahon

Brianna Mahon
Owner of:
Scooby-DooTM
Residence:
Dalton City, Illinois
Place of birth:

Brianna Mahon comes to Monster Jam® with a motor sports background many dream of. From an early age, she was involved in dirt bike racing and after a career-ending injury, she then turned to sprint car racing and now remains on four wheels competing in Monster Jam with the tail-waggin' Scooby-DooTM Monster Jam truck.

Mahon went through the rigorous training that the Monster Jam athletes took part in last summer and is looking to use her experience and what she's learned to be a step ahead of the other drivers on the East Coast More Monster Jam tour in 2016.

Coty Saucier
Driver name:
Coty Saucier
Owner of:
Monster Energy
Residence:
Dade City, Florida
Place of birth:
Lafayette, Louisiana
Years competing:

Working his way through the ranks, Saucier earned the opportunity to drive a Monster Jam truck of his own.

Saucier launched his rookie debut in Birmingham, Alabama. His skills landed him a spot in the Young Guns ShootoutSM competition at Monster Jam World FinalsSM in Las Vegas. Saucier fell shy of winning the shootout, but his abilities to wow the crowd and judges proved he was a force to be reckoned with. Through his efforts, he was awarded Rookie of the Year honors in 2014.

As the current year evolves, Saucier hopes to continue building on an already successful career and hold a spot in the top ranks while competing on the West Coast More Monster Jam tour.

Todd LeDuc
Driver name:

Owner of:
Metal Mulisha
Residence:
Cherry Valley, CA
Place of birth:
Springfield, MA
Years competing:

The son of legendary off-road driver Curt LeDuc, a top level racer for more than 25 years, Todd LeDuc entered the world of Monster Jam® after achieving a lot of success of his own in a variety of motor sports platforms. After Todd’s high school graduation he started racing downhill mountain bikes, winning two US national titles and LeDuc was at one time the number-one ranked rider in the nation. In 2005 Todd followed his dad's career path and started racing off-road trucks on short courses and in the desert where he continued to add to his resume of success. A long-time fan of Monster Jam, Todd jumped at the chance to finally strap into a 10,000 pound Monster Jam truck and take another major step in his motor sports career. After making a big impact driving Blue Thunder® in his first year in the sport, LeDuc was selected at the start of 2012 to join the new team of "The General" Brian Deegan. LeDuc drives the Metal Mulisha Monster Jam truck when the 15-time X-Games medalist is not behind the wheel.

January 2005 marked Alex's professional Monster Jam truck driving debut at the Birmingham, AL Monster Jam show. In the same year, he earned a Rookie of the Year nomination for his creation of the "Gazoo Motor". In 2007, Blackwell took on the driving duties for Bulldozer® before taking over Captain's Curse® in 2008 after Pablo Huffaker won the 2007 Monster Jam World FinalsSM Freestyle championship in the pirate-themed 1941 Willys.
